Shooting near Kesbewa Court Complex

A shooting was reported near the Kesbewa Court Complex on Thursday morning.
The shooting had occurred when prison guards have shot at two suspects who attempted to escape their custody in the Kesbewa Court Complex.
Prisons Media Spokesperson, Thushara Upuldeniya said that six suspects who were remanded in Colombo were taken to the Kesbewa Court Complex on Thursday.
He also said that of the two suspects who were shot at while attempting to escape, one had sustained injuries.
The other suspect who attempted to escape has been arrested.
The spokesperson said that further investigations into the incident are underway
