According to the Hindustan Times, rumours are abundant that the Harry Potter star will appear alongside Sushant Singh Rajput in Indian director Shekhar Kapur's new film, with John Travolta also linked to the project.
Kapur has worked on both Bollywood and Hollywood movies in the past, including his Oscar-nominated biopic of Elizabeth I, The Golden Age, starring Cate Blanchett.
His latest film Paani is a science-fiction romance set in the future when the earth's water supply has run out.
Kapur and producer Aditya Chopra are said to have been in talks with young British actress Emma about taking a starring role.
An insider said: "The casting decisions are being kept secret. A huge announcement is planned soon."
John Travolta has also been linked to the film.
The Pulp Fiction star attended the International Indian Film Academy awards last month where he revealed: "I have been offered a film that I am considering doing... I believe it is an honest Bollywood film and it is called Paani, by Shekhar Kapur. He has asked me to be a part of it.
"I have known Shekhar for a while now. Even though the script does not have it, Shekhar said he will put in a song to make it truly Bollywood. I am open to working in Hindi films if I like the story and my part."

Selena Gomez has had a rough year with reports she's battling lupus, a stint in rehab, and her altogether exhausting on-again off-again relationship with Justin Bieber.
All that aside, the 21-year-old's rep says that In Touch Weekly's report claiming the former Disney star was pregnant in 2012 -- but miscarried -- while she was dating Bieber is completely false. In Touch alleges that Gomez wanted to have the child andsubsequently went into a "downward spiral," which later led to said stint in rehab in 2014.
The rumor also had one of the tabloid's sources claiming Bieber's team felt the baby would "ruin his career because at the time he had a clean image." And while the thought of Bieber with a "clean image" these days is worth a few chuckles, Gomez's rep told Us Weekly that the entire pregnancy report is "100 percent fictional."
As for her recent stay in rehab, which she left after just 14 days into a six-week program, much to the objections of facility staff, Gomez's rep also confirmed that it wasn't because of a miscarriage.
In the months since Gomez left rehab, there has been plenty of shakeup in her life, including rumored tiffs with friends. Without warning, she also fired her mother and stepfather as managers in April. A few days later, Gomez left CAA for WME, signing with Brillstein Entertainment Partners for management -- a "crucial piece of the Disney alum's strategy, long in the works, to move on to more adult-oriented fare in film and music," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Plenty of celebrities have already contributed to an online campaign and shared photos of themselves holding "#BringBackOurGirls" signs, in support of the safe return of the 276 Nigerian schoolgirls kidnapped by a group of Islamist militants called Boko Haram.
Irina Shayk, best known for appearing in the Sports Illustrated annual swimsuit issue, took a slightly different approach to the campaign, and her efforts haven't been as appreciated as she perhaps anticipated, reports Gossip Cop. On May 11, the 28-year-old Russian model posted a topless photo of herself to Instagram with only the sign reading, "#BringBackOurGirls" covering her chest.
Rather than commending Shayk for joining a worthy cause, the photo was met with a number of harsh comments from others in the Instagram community, who slammed her decision to pose nude as "tasteless" and "ignorant" given the subject matter of the campaign.
"Pretty, but the toplessness is distracting from the cause. It's not about you," one commenter wrote, while another chimed in, "Callous, self-centred [sic] and of very poor taste."

Australia's National Rugby League (NRL) was on Wednesday investigating the apparent online leak of a sex tape involving New Zealand Warriors player Konrad Hurrell and a well-known Kiwi actress.
The video reportedly shows Hurrell (22) and actress Teuila Blakely engaged in a sex act while the player is driving a car. Radio New Zealand reported the footage appeared to have been filmed on a phone and circulated on social media.
Blakely confirmed to the New Zealand Herald that she was in the video. "Yeah it was me, but it was a private video and wasn't meant to have been leaked," the 39-year-old told the newspaper.
NRL chief operating officer Jim Doyle said the league was investigating because of the impact the scandal could have on its reputation.

A local court on Friday issued arrest warrants against ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, actors Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh in connection with a case alleging that few scenes in the movie hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindus.
Warrants were also issued against another producer Kishore Lulla, as well as the musicians and lyricists of the movie.
Issuing the arrest warrants, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) SP Singh directed Mumbai Police Commissioner to arrest the persons concerned and produce them at his court on June 4.
These warrants were issued based on a complaint case under various sections of the IPC filed by advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha in November last year which alleged that few scenes in the movie hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindus.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court had stopped the release of the movie till November 22, 2013 but it was released on November 12 itself.
The CJM took cognisance of the case on February 14 this year and summoned the actors and the director, who did not turn up following which today the warrants were issued.
