No extra taxes will be imposed to cover expenses of CHOGM

Sri lanka prime Minister D M Jayaratne says that as the rumors there won’t be taxes imposed to cover the cost of CHOGM.

He further said that the cost of the summit will not affect the people and taxes will not be increased.He said this participating as the Chief Guest of awareness programme to school children regarding the CHOGM held in Gampola

While leaders of 53 countries are supposed to participate in this, some are trying to influence the countries not to participate in the summit.  But, even by now most of the leaders have confirmed their participation.
