Sudharma Neththikumara: Arrest Warrant Recalled

Arrest warrant issued on businesswoman Sudharma Nethicumara two days ago was recalled by the Colombo Fort Magistrate court this morning.
Nethicumara, who surrendered herself before Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court along with President’s Counsel Rienzie Arsecularatne,submitted to Court that she had not been made as a suspect in the case thereby warrant cannot be issued against her.
The lawyer said the investigations notes regarding the case had been sent to the Attorney General for his advice and the Attorney General would decide whether she should name as a suspect nor not. Accordingly, Magistrate Thilina Gamage ordered to recall the warrant issued against businesswoman Sudharma Neththikumara and released her without a bail.
In this case, Samantha Dilrukshana a businessman from Pannipitiya lodged a complaint with the Colombo Fraud Bureau alleging that he had given Rs.5 million to the businesswoman who promised to pay back the money with dividends.
