Virtusa wins accolade for employee engagement practices at National HR Conference 2014

Virtusa Corporation, a global business consulting and IT outsourcing company that combines innovation, technology leadership and industry solutions to transform the customer experience, was awarded the ‘Employee Engagement Special Category Award’ at the recently-held National HR Conference 2014 Sri Lanka. Virtusa received this award, one of the only three special category awards handed out at the event, for exceptional contribution towards driving organisational performance though positive engagement.

Accepting the award, Chandi Dharmaratne, Director – HR at Virtusa, said: “It’s an honour to receive this award from IPM in recognition of our employee engagement initiatives. With over 86% of our global workforce comprising of millennials, we are focused on understanding them and proactively building a millennial conducive environment of engagement where they can constructively interact with one another.  Accepting the fact that millennials are critical for the organisations’ growth, we brought in expertise from all over the company to develop tools that attract and engage this group. And this resulted in the in-house creation of our social business eco system, V+.”
