Eelam is needed or not ? A referendum like in Scotland needed-TNA

The way a referendum was held as to whether Scotland should remain independent or should be absorbed to England is needed by the people of North and east.
Speaking on this matter the Member of Parliament for the,TNA Suresh Premachandra had added that to be in terms of true democracy the peoples consent in North and East should be taken via a referendum to find whether they need a Eelam or not like in Scotland.
