University cut-off marks released

The University Grants Commission has released the cut-off marks for university entrance for students who sat for their G. C. E. Advanced Level Examination in 2013.
According to UGC, the cut-off marks can be obtained from www.ugc.ac.lk andwww.admission.ugc.ac.lkwebsites.
Chairperson of the UGC, Professor Kshanka Hirimburegama had earlier declared that new students for the medical and engineering faculties will be enrolled during the month of October, adding that other curriculum are scheduled to begin thereafter.
Meanwhile, the Leadership Training Programme for the new entrants will commence on October 8.
The University Grants Commission says that the Leadership Training Programme which is to be carried out under three stages will provide training for nearly 10,000 students.
