Acting
.Starting her career as a model, she appeared on several song videos including "Chanchala", and took a major role in the television drama series "PABA". She also participated in the reality dancing show Sirasa Dancing Stars, on 8 June 2008 she was eliminated. She had won the Sumathi Award for Best Upcoming Actress Award for Most popular actress sponsored by Vendol.

Tales of actress and Parliamentarian Upeksha Swarnamali alias Paba falling pregnant has set the rumour mill abuzz.
It is revealed that this pregnancy episode had taken place during Kalum Palitha Maheeratne's latest teledrama project - 'Sneha'.
Paba has 'fallen pregnant' to play the role of a pregnant girl in the drama.
Sneha, is a lengthy teledrama where two fathers promise to make their children marry each other and the series of incidents that follow 20 years later.
Screenplay is by Asanka Sayakkara while music is by Suresh Maliyadda.
The theme song of the teledrama is by the Director - Kalum Palitha Maheeratne himself and is sung by Amal Perera.
The cast includes Upeksha Swarnamali, Uddika Premaratne, Srimal Wedisinghe, Anjula Rajapaksha, Veena Jayakody, Sampath Tennakoon, Geetha Kanthi Jayakody, Shiroshi Romeshika, Ishan Mendis and Chandika Nanayakkara.
Sneha is telecast at 7.30pm on weekdays on Hiru TV.
