The Leader of the Democratic Party Former army commander Sarath Fonseka addressed a public meeting at the Galwala Junction in Galle on today (Friday) evening.
He shared these views in that meeting;
“The truth that we understand is that the people of this country are losing. The people have been made to live in an environment where they do not receive their rights. The people's economy has fallen. The people have been made to live in a country where there is no law and order and justice. We have also reached the time where the politicians do not fulfill their social responsibilities to the people of the country. In short, if we are to say this in political terms, the people of the country have lost democracy.”
