Sri Lanka's Carson group to buy Cargills Millers Brewery

Sri Lanka's Carson Cumberbatch group which owns Lion Brewery said it has agreed to buy Millers Brewery, from Cargills Ceylon Plc.
Lion Brewery, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carson Cumberbatch and Pearl Springs, a subsidiary of Lion Brewery have entered into a sales and purchase agreement with Cargill's PLC to purchase its subsidiary Millers Brewery for Rs. 5.15 billion.



Carsons Cumberbatch said in a stock market disclosure today that the deal is subject to due diligence and settlement of all liabilities by the Millers Brewery.
