The nude images of Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton that were last week leaked online after a security breach will be put on display in a gallery as part of an art show.
The Cory Allen Contemporary Art gallery will host an exhibition called No Delete, which consists of work made by XVALA, a Los Angeles artist preoccupied with the internet and celebrity.
XVALA will present the hacked nude photographs of Lawrence and Upton printed on canvas, life-size and unaltered as part of a seven-year collection of images that he has sourced on Google of “celebrities in their most vulnerable and private moments”, according to the gallery’s website.
Previously, XVALA has distributed leaked nude images of actress Scarlett Johansson in the streets of Los Angeles with the words “Fear Google” censoring her body, and put the image of singer Britney Spears with a shaved head in an elaborate frame.

XVALA is quoted saying: “We share our secrets with technology and when we do, our privacy becomes accessible to others.”
After the leak, Lawrence’s publicists issued a statement saying: “We intend to pursue anyone disseminating or duplicating these illegally obtained images to the fullest extent possible”. Upton’s publicists echoed the statement.
Gallerist Cory Allen told Fox News that they considered the photos as art, and therefore exempt from any ruling obtained by the celebrities’ publicists: “We’re not posting them… and we don’t see them as photos. [The artist] sees it as art.
“I think if XVALA was really concerned and too worried about the legality side of it, it would challenge the integrity of the art.”
The show will open on 30 October.

Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence is among more than 100 stars whose personal photographs have been posted online in hacking attack.
Around 60 semi-nude pictures of the Hunger Games star were loaded to bulletin board website 4chan after a hacker reportedly gained access to her mobile phone via Apple's online storage system iCloud.
More than 100 other A-list celebrities are alleged to also have been targeted by hackers, including reality TV star Kim Kardashian, model Cara Delevingne and TV host Cat Deeley.
The leaked photos prompted angry reactions from the stars who had been exposed. Some claimed the images of them were fake, but others vowed to sue those responsible.
"This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence," Lawrence's agent told entertainment media.
Meanwhile horror movie actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead, whose intimate photos were also leaked, expressed her disgust at those sharing the stolen pictures.
"To those of you looking at photos I took with my husband years ago in the privacy of our home, hope you feel great about yourselves," she tweeted.
"Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this. Feeling for everyone who got hacked."

A Russian music teacher who "accidentally" posted her naked selfie online has refused to resign after the school authorities asked her to do so.
Elena Kornyshonkova, 40, from Tver, in Russia, said she posted the revealing photo by accident on the Russian social network VKontake.
Students and colleagues found her nude selfie and reported this to the school management, media reports said.
In her reply, the teacher said there was nothing wrong with nudity and she led a more "honourable" life than many of her colleagues.
According to her, she only intended her close friends to see the picture taken during a holiday in Spain.
But the school management directed her to resign by Aug 25 else threatened to sack her, reports added.

Google is planning to spend more than $1 billion on satellites which will reportedly be used to give internet access to parts of the planet that still have no connection to the web.
The news comes courtesy of The Wall Street Journal which claims that Google will start by building 180 small satellites in low orbit and then expanding from there because, why not.
Whilst the initial projection is $1 billion, there are some reports that the final cost of the project could be anything up to a massive $3 billion.
According to the WSJ Google has been hiring satellite engineers as well as experts in order to better fulfill their plans.
This isn't the first time Google has looked into expanding internet coverage over the globe with Project Loon proposing the idea of high-altitude balloons which would provide broadband coverage to out of reach areas.
Whilst balloons are cheap they're by no means a permanent solution, a fleet of satellites however would be able to reach much further whilst requiring very little maintenance.
Google and Facebook have both been looking at ways to bring Internet coverage to the rest of the world with Facebook's Internet.org partnership bringing together some of the tech-world's biggest players to improve web coverage globally.

Internet users in Sri Lanka as in India and Bangladesh, enjoy partial freedom in the subcontinent.
This is against the backdrop that there is no freedom at all for those who want to express their opinion online, said a new survey of a United States-based Freedom House (FH).
For partial freedom, Bangladesh obtained 49 points out of 100 earmarked for countries having no freedom at all for the internet users, said the study.
It was conducted by the FH between May 2012 and April 2013, among 60 countries.
The FH is an independent private think-tank that supports the expansion of freedom throughout the world, operating from its headquarters in Washington, DC.
The report is the fourth in its series and the previous edition, covering 47 countries, was published in September 2012.
According to the study, there are 29 countries including Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka where internet users enjoy partial freedom. But in 14 other countries including Pakistan, Myanmar, Iran and Saudi Arabia, there is no freedom at all for the internet users.
The study revealed that there are 17 countries where internet users enjoy absolute freedom. The group of countries is led by Iceland that obtained 6.0 marks among others including Estonia getting 9 marks, Germany and the US both scoring 17 marks each in series.
Among the 29 countries where internet users enjoy partial freedom, Nigeria leads with 31 marks while Brazil and South Korea occupy the second and third position with 32 marks each. In this group, India is ahead of Bangladesh with 47 marks, while Sri Lanka lags behind Bangladesh with 58 marks.
Iran with 91 marks leads the group of countries where there is no freedom at all for the internet users. China and Cuba with 86 marks each have been placed after Iran as the two countries are without internet freedom.
The study said 2013 was the year when thousands of websites were either closed or censored, mostly in Pakistan and Venezuela.
In June 2013, revelations made by former contractor Edward Snowden about the US government's secret surveillance activities took centre-stage in the American and international media, the study said.
As part of its anti-terrorism effort, the US National Security Agency (NSA) has been collecting communications data on Americans and foreigners on a much greater scale than previously thought, it said.
However, the world's attention is focused on Snowden and US surveillance. It prompted important discussions about the legitimacy and legality of such measures. Disconcerting efforts to both monitor and censor internet activity have been taking place in other parts of the world with increased frequency and sophistication.
In some countries, even posting a video of a cynical rap song could draw the police to a user's door, the FH study said.
Although democratic states generally do not target political speech, several have sought to implement 'disproportionate' restrictions on content they perceive as harmful or illegal, such as pornography, hate speech, and pirated media.
Of the 60 countries assessed, 34 have experienced a negative trajectory since May 2012. Further policy deterioration was seen in authoritarian states such as Vietnam and Ethiopia. There the downgrades reflected new government measures to restrict free speech, new arrests, and harsh prison sentences imposed on bloggers for posting articles that were critical of the authorities.
Pakistan's downgrade reflected the blocking of thousands of websites and pronounced violence against users of information and communication technologies (ICTs).
The most significant year-on-year decline was seen in India, which suffered from deliberate interruptions of mobile and internet service to limit unrest, excessive blocks on content during rioting in northeastern states, the study said.
It said the US experienced a significant decline as well, in large part due to reports of extensive surveillance tied to intelligence gathering and counterterrorism.(The Financial Express)
